Using the Internet to find information on fashion history

Julie needed to find some information, especially some images, on 1960s fashion for her assignment.

As a starting point, she looks for museums and galleries which may have collections of interest to her, or which may have information on exhibitions held.

Sixties Fashion Exhibition is a resource from the Victoria and Albert Museum with details on an exhibition held covering fashion during the 1960s. Julie finds plenty of interesting material with links to other relevant 1960s fashion information.

She then looks at the AHDS Visual Arts and finds a section on 1960s women's fashion which has a number of useful images.

Finally she searches for information on some of the well-known fashion designers of the era and sites such as Mary Quant help her with specific details.

Julie uses the Internet to find a number of resources that will add value to her assignment.
